Introduction

In perspective of the recent advancements and ever growing scope, microbiology has stepped up into a new era of modern technologies. Microbiology is exploring, how a myriad of microorganisms impact our world. Recently, COVID-19 pandemic has also highlighted the responsibilities of microbiologist as advocate for the biological sciences. Therefore, Department of Microbiology at University of Jhang, is focusing on applied aspect of microbiology relevant to the needs in local and regional environment.
Department of Microbiology University of Jhang was established in October, 2021 and consists of highly qualified faculty members. The degree programs of microbiology are designed to train the students in all the sectors of microbiology including academia, medical microbiology, industrial microbiology, environmental microbiology, agriculture microbiology as well as recombinant DNA technology, in accordance to the market needs.

To enhance research capabilities of graduates and postgraduate students for better services in almost every field of microbiology specifically in national issues related to health, control and eradication of diseases, and waste water treatment.
